Ka'iulani

Princess Ka'iulani (Victoria Ka'iulani Kalaninuiahilapalapa Kawekiu i Lunalilo
Cleghorn) was known as the "Peacock Princess" for the number of those birds on
her estate of 'Ainahau in what is now Waikiki. She is the subject of a 2010 film,
originally and controversially named "Barbarian Princess." The film details how
this stereotyped, exotic princess actually charmed Americans and Europeans during
her short life.
